On October 10, 2024, on the occasion of Tree Day 🌳, Elemental Strategic Metals decided to participate in the city's celebration of this holiday actively. At 1:00 p.m., the company's employees and representatives of the Zawiercie city authorities 🌆 symbolically planted trees on the company's land on Myśliwska Street.

Elemental, taking care of good relations with its neighbors 🏘️, purchased over 100 trees 🌱, which are intended to separate the industrial zone 🏭 from the surrounding buildings. The planted trees, such as oaks 🌳, maples 🍁 and blue spruces 🌲, will become a natural buffer and refuge for birds 🐦, insects 🐝 and small animals 🐿️ after reaching full growth. Residents will be able to enjoy a pleasant view from their windows 🖼️.

Through this gesture, the company's management wants to emphasize its commitment to improving the quality of life of the local community 😊 and building positive relationships with neighbors 🤝.

ESM employees led by Maciej Dudzic attended the event 👷‍♂️ and the vice president of Zawiercie with a delegation, Bogdan Janikowski with his colleagues 🏛️.

Battery disposal – a key step towards asustainable future! 🌍

In recent years, more and more talk has been about ecology, environmental protection, and sustainable development. One of the topics that is gaining importance is the disposal of batteries, especially those from electric cars. What happens when a battery stops working? What does the recyclingprocess look like? The TVN portal answered these questions in its article, which we highly recommend you read! 📱🔋

In the heart of the Silesian Voivodeship, in Zawiercie, one of the world's most modern battery recycling plants operates! This is where batteries from electric cars, which can weigh up to several hundred kilograms, are disposed of. But not only them – batteries from tools, laptops, phones, and electric scooters also go to this innovative plant.

🤯 Did you know that almost 100% of battery materials can behasztag#recovered? Thanks to modern technologies, such as those used in Zawiercie, graphite, metal oxides, aluminum, copper, and many other raw materials can be reused!

💬Adrian Łabuzfrom the LIB recycling department at theElemental Strategic Metalsexplains in the article how black mass can be recovered from such a battery- an extremely valuable raw material consisting of graphite and metal oxides. Interestingly, the recovered plastic can be used to produce, for example... road cones! 🚧

📊 The plant in Zawiercie has impressive processing capacities - it can process a ton of batteries per hour! Most of the material comes from car batteries, but there will also be batteries from other devices. Copper, lithium, cobalt and nickel - these are metals that are of great importance for the future of technology.

Elemental Holding Group has successfully completed a USD 290 million equity private placement from a group of international financial institutions: IFC - International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Polish Development Fund (Polski Fundusz Rozwoju S.A. (PFR)).

This capital will be committed to funding the Company’s exciting pipeline of growth projects, accelerating its global acquisition strategy, and securing funding for general corporate purposes.
